The Challenge
Updating ski lift statuses and avalanche warnings on our old website required a developer. When a blizzard hit, we needed ski patrollers to update warnings instantly from the mountain.

They built a hyper-simplified mobile backend for the ski patrol. A patroller can literally tap a large red button on their phone to instantly change a trail's status to 'Closed due to avalanche risk'.

Advice to Others
Design the admin interface for the actual environment it will be used in. Raafi made our buttons huge so patrollers can tap them while wearing gloves.
